Expressway sits right across the street from the beautiful Laurel Hill Cemetery. Beyond the occasional stroll around one of the country’s oldest cemeteries, Laurel Hill collaborates with different vendors and organizations year-round to bring Philly many unique opportunities and experiences for the community. This one-of-a-kind venue offers activities & events ranging from craft fairs to Shakespeare. The next one we have our eye on is Laurel Hill Cemetery presents Cinema in the Cemetery series, hosted with the Philadelphia Film Society.
This summer series has one last film to present, and we hope you don’t miss out on the action. Friday, September 13, 2019, Gremlins, directed by Joe Dante, will be presented. Tickets are available for $12 & gates open at 7 pm. Parking is free across the street from the Gatehouse entrance on Ridge Avenue.
Come for the nostalgia only an iconic 80s film can offer – especially if you have never seen the movie before! Like the Gremlins of yesteryear, water could turn things South. So there has already been a prescheduled raindate for the following day. It’s September 14th at 8 pm in the event of inclement weather.
